Campaign Building - General

One of the most versatile and popular parts of Marketing.Pro are our automation features, which we call “Campaigns.” Campaigns can help you send:

  • Multi-piece drip campaigns.
  • Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and/or Annual economic updates (sent immediately after Broker/Dealer approval).
  • Greeting cards for birthdays, anniversaries, and other events.
  • Newsletter Postcards.
  • Master Campaigns – Pre-built Campaign Templates, offering pre-selected content on a variety of subjects. To build your own campaign:

  • Click on “Campaigns,” located under “Pro Features” on the left hand side of your Marketing.Pro page.
  • At the top of the list of Campaigns, click the “Build a New Campaign” button.
  • INFORMATION TAB: On this page, you will name and describe your Campaign in the boxes marked “Campaign Name” and “Description.” Keep in mind that these are solely for your reference to allow you to identify the Campaigns from the list. The Campaign Name and description can be identical, but both must be filled out.
  • Once both are filled out, click on the “Save/Add Actions” button to continue.
  • ACTIONS TAB: This is where you add the messages you wish to be included in your Campaign. Keep in mind: You are not required to add all of your items right away; you will be able to add items to the campaign at a later time. You will be able to add:
  • Greeting Cards / Postcards
  • Email
  • Newsletter Postcards
  • Economic Updates
  • You will also be able to add Approved messages from the Message Library to Campaigns. When viewing the message, scroll down to the bottom of the page, agree to the terms of use, and then click on the “Add Message to Campaign” button.
  • Once you have selected an action or added a message to the campaign, you will need to carefully go through the details to make certain that the designs, templates, and other personalization features are correct and as you wish them to appear.
  • In some cases, you will also need to schedule the Action. This includes the following considerations:
  • Occurrence: Will the message be sent once, or will it be a recurring event?
  • Recurrence Pattern: If the message will be repeated, how often will it be repeated? And during what time period?
  • Schedule: If the message is only sent once, you will be asked for the day it should be sent. If this message is part of a series of messages, you may also stipulate the order in which it should be sent. For example, you can have it sent a days, weeks, months, or even years before or after a particular action.
  • NOTE: Newsletter Postcards and Economic Updates are not scheduled in the same way. Newsletter Postcards are monthly only, while Economic Updates are sent either Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly or Annually (depending on the variety selected).
  • Once you’ve selected your action and scheduled it, click on the “Save Changes” button to continue.
  • Use the “Recipients” tab to select the contacts you would like to receive the campaign. You can:
  • Select individuals by clicking their names with your mouse, and then clicking the “Add Selected” button.
  • Select entire groups by clicking on the “Add Group” link, and then clicking the box for the group you wish to add.
  • Select tagged contacts by clicking on the “Add by Tag” link, and then selecting the tag you wish to use.
  • Clicking on the “Select All,” and then clicking the “Add Selected” button will allow you to add all of your contacts to the campaign.
  • To remove recipients, click “Remove” to the right of the contact. To remove all of them and start over, click on the “Remove All” button.
  • NOTE: The recipients list doesn’t automatically add family members; click on the “Include family members” box to include them.
  • Once you have selected your recipients click on the “Activate” button to start building the campaign. Building the campaign is the process where the different emails and other mailings will be scheduled; this may take some time.
  • Once the campaign is running, you will be able to click on “Campaigns” and see it listed as “Active.”
